How To Crochet A Round Ripple Baby Blanket Tutorial




Materials Needed:
Yarn: Lion Brand Pound of Love
Hook: I 5.5
Tapestry Needle
Craft Scissors

Pattern:

Rnd 1: Magic loop, ch3, 11dc in ring, sl st to top of ch3. (12dc)
Rnd 2: ch3, dc in same sp as ch3, 2dc in every sp around, sl st to top of ch3. (24)
Rnd 3: ch3, *sk sp, (dc,ch2,dc) in next sp*, Rpt from *to*, around ending with (dc,ch2) in ch3 sp, sl st to top of ch3.
Rnd 4: sl st into the first ch2 sp ch3 (dc,ch2, 2dc) in same ch2 sp, *(2dc,ch2,2dc) in next ch2 sp*, rpt from *to*, sl st to top of ch3 sp.
Rnd 5: ch3, (2dc,ch2,2dc) in ch2 sp, *dc in next sp, (2dc,ch2,2dc) in ch2 sp, dc in next sp*, rpt from *to*, sl st to top of ch3 sp.
Rnd 6: ch3, dc in next sp (2dc,ch2,2dc) in ch2 sp, *dc in next 2 sps, (2dc,ch2,2dc) in ch2 sp, dc in next 2 sps*, rpt from *to*, sl st to top of ch3 sp.

Repeating Pattern, here is where you will continue going with these 3 rows 

Rnd 7: ch3, dc in next 2 sps (dc,ch2,dc) in ch2 sp, *dc in next 3 sps, (dc,ch2,dc) in ch2 sp, dc in next 3 sps*, rpt from *to*, sl st to top of ch3 sp.
Rnd 8: ch3, dc in next 3 sps (2dc,ch2,2dc) in ch2 sp, *dc in next 4 sps, (2dc,ch2,2dc) in ch2 sp, dc in next 4 sps*, rpt from *to*, sl st to top of ch3 sp.
Rnd9: ch3, dc in next 4 sps (2dc,ch2,2dc) in ch2 sp, *dc in next 5 sps, (2dc,ch2,2dc) in ch2 sp, dc in next 5 sps*, rpt from *to*, sl st to top of ch3 sp.

Rnd 10: dc in next 5 sps (dc,ch2,dc) in ch2 sp, *dc in next 6 sps, (dc,ch2,dc) in ch2 sp, dc in next 6 sps*, rpt from *to*, sl st to top of ch3 sp.
Rnd 11:  ch3, dc in next 6 sps (2dc,ch2,2dc) in ch2 sp, *dc in next 7 sps, (2dc,ch2,2dc) in ch2 sp, dc in next 7 sps*, rpt from *to*, sl st to top of ch3 sp.
Rnd 12: ch3, dc in next 7 sps (2dc,ch2,2dc) in ch2 sp, *dc in next 8 sps, (2dc,ch2,2dc) in ch2 sp, dc in next 8 sps*, rpt from *to*, sl st to top of ch3 sp.

And So on until you have desired size afghan.  I personally stopped at Rnd 31.

How To Crochet A Granny Triangle Video Tutorial





Rnd1: Magic loop, ch3, 2dc in ring, ch2, 3dc, ch2, 3dc, ch2, sl st to top of ch3, cast off.

Rnd2: Join 2nd color in any ch2 sp ch3, 2dc, ch2, 3dc, *ch1, (3dc, ch2, 3dc in next ch2 sp)*, rpt one more time, sl st to top of ch3, cast off.

Rnd3: Join 3nd color in any ch1 sp ch3, 2dc in sp, *ch1, (3dc, ch2, 3dc in next ch2 sp) ch1, 3dc in next ch1 sp*, rpt two more times, sl st to top of ch3, cast off.

Rnd4: Join 4nd color in any ch1 sp ch3, 2dc in sp, ch1, 3dc in next ch1 sp, (3dc, ch2, 3dc in next ch2 sp), *ch1, 3dc in next ch1 sp, ch1, 3dc in next ch1 sp, ch1, (3dc, ch2, 3dc in next ch2 sp)* rpt *to* one more time, ch1, sl st to top of ch3.

How To Crochet A simple Hexagon Video Tutorial.





Rnd1: Magic loop, ch3, dc in ring, *ch2, 2dc* in ring, rpt * 4 more times, ch2, sl st to the top of ch3.  (6 sets of ch2 + 2dc)

Rnd2: ch3, dc in next sp, (dc,ch2,dc) in ch2 sp, dc in next 2 sps, rpt all the way around, sl st to the top of the beginning ch3.

Rnd3: ch3, dc in the next 2 sps, (dc,ch2,dc) in ch2 sp, *dc in the next 4 sps, (dc,ch2,dc) in ch2 sp*, rpt 4 times, dc in last sp, sl st to top of ch 3.

For a baby blanket make a ch of 134.

For an afghan make a ch of 158.

If you want anything bigger like for a queen size bed then make the ch longer as long as it's a multiple of 6+2, then measure it on the bed.

Repeat the pattern for a length desired for your project.

If you are making a baby blanket make a ch of 162.  

For an afghan make a ch of 234.  

If you want anything bigger like for a queen size bed then make the ch longer as long as it's a multiple of 18, then measure it on the bed.

Repeat the pattern for a length desired for your project.

How To Crochet The Granny Stripe Video Tutorial




For this stitch a multiple of 3+2 is needed unless your starting row will be done with sc and if so start with a ch of 3+1, sc in the second ch.

For a baby blanket make a ch of 121.

For an afghan make a ch of 235.

If you want anything bigger like for a queen size bed then make the ch longer as long as it's a multiple of 3+2, then measure it on the bed.

Repeat the pattern for a length desired for your project.

I didn't mention this in the video but you can end your project with a sc row.  Just sc the same amount you started with (120 or 235 SC)

Rnd1: FSC 127,  turn.

Rnd3: Ch1, sc in same space, ch3, dc in ch2 sp , ch3, sc in between the shells, rpt across, ending with last sc on top of turning Ch, turn. 
Rnd4: Ch4, skip 3ch loop, (2dc,ch2,2dc) in next dc, sk next 3ch loops, (2dc,ch2,2dc) in next dc, rpt across, sk last 3ch loop, tr in last sc, turn.
